Uploaded on Jan 14, 2010 http://www.westislandweather.com This lobster boat pulls in at Hoppy's Landing on this January winter day. The 36 degree ocean was glassy smooth all day today, making for an ideal mid-winter lobster run. It's not always this nice this time of year for our fishermen. The marine forecast calls for more typical choppy water later this week. High pres will crest across the waters this afternoon. A weak cold front will cross the waters late Fri. Another cold front will approach New England from the N late Sat while low pres in the Gulf of Mexico moves to the mid Atlantic coast this weekend then tracks NE across the offshore waters se of New England Mon.
