2013: The Seasons of West Island Add Video

The Year in Pictures from M.L.Baron. A collection of photos from the year 2013 through the change of seasons at West Island, Fairhaven, MA. I composed some of my favorite photos taken this past year and was wondering how I would complete the end of this short 5-minute clip. The video didn't end the way I expected it to. We began the year with a Blizzard in February and a soggy spring that eventually gave way to a beautiful Summer with a brief heat wave. The Fall came in as one of the driest in years but brought along some spectacular sunsets. Our Axis cam at the West Island Weather Station captured some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets ever seen from West Island at the angle from South Point. It was a wonderful year on the island captured in both still and video photography with my weather beaten gear that has seen better days. Although the year ended in tragedy with the loss of a Fairhaven Marine, Son and Friend - Lance Cpl. Matthew R. Rodriguez, my camera was there. Hopefully I captured the spirit and light of a town and it's people that will forever be indelible in my heart as a life-long resident and to those from near and far who view this photo and video keepsake for the year that was on West Island and Fairhaven in 2013. Compiled from the M.L.Baron Historic Archives.
