This restored 1964 classic of - Whaling Days - ; features a whaling voyage aboard the New Bedford whaleship - VIOLA - in 1916 narrated by Whaling historian Reginald Haggerty of The New Bedford Whaling Museum. He actually was a whaler himself and sailed on the - VIOLA-. Although the film is in fair condition, Haggerty provides a rare insight into life at sea aboard a whaler. The film was seen for the first time on TV in 1964 in this series of - Whaling Days - Dateline Boston by WHDH and The MA Dept of Education. Restored by the M.L.Baron Historic Archives and www.westislandweather.com/ Part 2 can be seen at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_qebW9vLzI
