West Island Causeway-Boats take a beating-one sunk Dec 12, 2008 Add Video
The December 12 storm brought high winds and surf. The full moon tide brought waves crashing over the Causeway (only 3 feet above sea-level)the morning of December 12 at 745AM. One small vessel is sunk to the right of the boat still afloat (it was saved and brought to Hoppy's Landing nearby)-the bow can be seen bobbing up and down to the right of the power boat banging against the rocks.
