SINKING OF FISHING VESSEL CAPT JEFF CAUGHT ON TAPE NOV 20 2016 933AM Add Video

The Captain of the distressed fishing vessel "CAPTAIN JEFF" can be heard calling the US Coast Guard - Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 933AM The vessel ran aground 3 miles off West Island - known as Great Ledge. Gale Force winds were out of the southwest, gusting to near 50MPH. 6 fishermen were on board and were later rescued by the US Coast Guard, and The Buzzards Bay Marine Task Force. The fishermen were transported to the Pease Park boat ramp via TowBoatUS in Fairhaven and all refused treatment by Fairhaven EMS on the scene. The vessel has sunk in its last position and salvage operations are being coordinated as of 1154AM. Nov 20, 2016.
