This 1964 Vintage film of "Whaling Days" features Ted Wood of MIT with sea shanties. Milton K. Delano (late) of Fairhaven demonstrates the whale man's art of Scrimshaw with some huge whales teeth he engraved and his recollection of doing scrimshaw for JFK who was just assassinated a few months prior to this show. Hosts include Reginald Haggerty - curator of the Whaling Museum, and James Healy, Librarian.
