A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY today, met for perfect conditions for Bill, of Lakeville. He's been kite surfing for over 10 years and enjoys certain spots around the coast with the right wind direction. "I do it for the exercise" Bill said. He uses caution to the rocky shoreline and obstacles below the surface. His greatest concern, though, is when the wind gets to strong, he has to hover in place. Northwesterly winds at 25MPH offered a nice breeze for surfing close to shore along the north side of the Causeway to West Island, this Veteran's Day, November 11, 2016 about 130PM. The temperature was quite mild for this time of year at 60 degrees for a high at this location. The wind chill could drop later tonight into the 20's when a brief cold spell enters for the weekend. Small Craft Advisories for Buzzards Bay will expire Saturday morning at 7AM. *ML's Note: Bill has New Bedford ties as a fisherman. His Dad owned a couple of boats. He worked on board as a technician.
