An Early Morning Delivery by TUG
The Tug Eric M. McAllister with over 5,000 horse power pushes a barge loaded with a large crane inbound by Angelica Island into New Bedford Harbor. ( 635AM 4-15-2013) The barge and crane came from Cuttyhunk Island 14 miles away. Most of Cuttyhunk's vital supplies of food, construction material, sand, gravel, vehicles and an occasional Fire Truck are delivered by barge from New Bedford. The Eric M. McAllister is a common sight in Buzzards Bay based out of New Bedford. Photo from West Island Weather Station South Point SkyCam.
