Fog Bank Overtakes Drone at West Island After Thunderstorm May 31 2017 Add Video

A FOG BANK ENGULFED WEST ISLAND AFTER A THUNDERSTORM A typical late May "upper-level disturbance" (aka a thunderstorm) passed through Buzzards Bay and The Cape, this Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2017. A rolling fog bank came in quickly overtaking the island and our cameras, but made for a cool clip. Enter the sound and wide screen for best viewing. As the last day of May departed along with this storm system, a dreary weather pattern this afternoon was a good send-off to one of the top 6 wettest Mays on record in the region. June is on shaky ground for a possible repeat. Almost twice as much rain fell for the month than usual. *ML's Note: Our Weather Review stats for the month will be posted shortly.
